Forging /
Rotary Swaging
The tool segments (2, 3 or 4-jaw tools) exert radial pressure forces on a rotating workpiece. Different workpiece shapes can be achieved by designing the tool segments accordingly. Depending on the degree of forming, this process is carried out cold or hot.
The forging process can be used for steels, aluminum, copper, titanium and other metallic materials.
Automotive industry applications: axle support tubes, stabilizers, air suspension pistons, drive shafts, cardan shafts, camshafts, etc.
General applications: drill pipes, gas pressure cylinders, furniture tubes, railing posts, etc.
Components
Axle support tubes
Ø 88.9 x 9 mm // Ø 146 x 22 mm // Ø 127 x 22 mm // Forged on one side
Stabilizers
Ø 70 x 8 mm // reduced on both sides by hammering // internally calibrated using internal mandrel diameter
Air suspension pistons
Ø 97 x 2 mm // Hammered outer contour (1 operation)
Air susupension pistons
Ø 110 x 2 mm // Hammered outer contour (1 operation)
Trailer monoblock axle
Ø 127 x 17 mm // stub axle forged on one or both sides using GFU forging technology (hot forging) // defined inner contour thanks to the use of an inner mandrel // controlled upsetting of the wall thickness during the forging process
